Acceptable Private Social Security Accounts?

This sounds like a good idea. It makes the "risky" argument null and void from what I can see. It will be interesting to see if it gets any traction.

Interesting. Though it's still not a lock box. You just get a pile of paper that states the government owes you with interest.

The inheritance idea I think is rubbish in general, since you can be assured that the death tax, both federal and local, will take chunks out of anything left over. Not to mention that it won't pay for enough of the retiree's returns to come anywhere near solvency.

On the other hand, it's far far better than the communist setup we have at present.
