Yes, that pillar of Massachusetts liberal idiocy is now screeching about security issues at the Seabrook Nuclear Power station. I don't make any issue about there releasing information about the security problem. I have a disdain for their timing. The declaration of the issues and pointing out what the problems are makes it apparent that Markey doesn't really care that the details could be used to escalate a terrorist attack.
Neither the NRC nor the Plant can make any comments on the allegations. That is by law by the way. Not because they are embarrassed as I've seen commented on in several rags.
Release and broadcast of this information should have waited until the NRC had stated emphatically that all of the security systems were fixed and functioning per the requirements. The NRC has stated:
Part of Markey's complaint is that the security forces have been forced into overtime to counter the deficiencies. This is illegal of course. There is something that should be noted though. The plant did do something to counter the deficiencies. They hadn't just let it set unaddressed.
The presence of non-functioning or incorrectly functioning security systems is appalling. This level of incompetency should be severly punished if it is as bad as is stated by Markey and the MSM. The limited information that I've found though, makes it sound that Markey is overstating again.

NRC Region I Administrator Samuel J. Collins said, "Since conducting our inspection last month, NRC continued to assure that the company was addressing the inspection findings. This special inspection will provide us with an in-depth look at the companyĆs efforts to correct any problems and prevent recurrence."This doesn't state in any way that everything is fixed and ready. Addressing the findings doesn't mean that they are completely fixed.
