WHALE HO!

There we go. Teddy Kennedy says that Healy is "swiftboating"

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy accused Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey of engaging in "gutter politics" in her campaign against Democrat Deval Patrick, declaring Saturday, "Make no mistake about it, this is swiftboating."

If by "swiftboating" he means calling attention to facts, then Kerry Healey is guilty as charged. If he thinks he means she's making stuff up, maybe he isn't reading the Globe closely enough (like my mother-in-law)
Teddy the Tick is good for more:
"When you can't compete in the marketplace of ideas, when you don't have a positive vision to offer, then you become desperate and resort to the politics of fear and smear. That's a game plan straight out of the Karl Rove playbook, and, in her desperation, Kerry Healey is following it to a tee. Frankly, that kind of gutter politics is not worthy of the lieutenant governor and will be rejected by the people of Massachusetts."

So, detailed plans from Healy and vague platitudes from Patrick, but she's engaged in "fear and smear"? Interesting point of view.
"All week Deval Patrick has repeatedly lied to the voters and the media about his role in the Ben LaGuer case. Rather than answering the questions, he's now trying to hide behind Ted Kennedy," said Tim O'Brien, the lieutenant governor's campaign manager.

And hey, let's just say it, there is PLENTY of room to hide behind the senator.
Vote for Healy

Honestly, does anyone (besides his admirers in the liberal press) care what the Chappaquiddick Kid has to say?

Well... there is entertainment value. At our house we regularly quote Teddy "Our founding fathers would never consider revolting against a government." Jaw droppers like that are far to fine to let go. Maybe that's why the people in this state keep reelecting the schmuck.
