The Right of the People to Offend - Or The Black Adder's Defense of Religious Humor

The Black Adder comes out to defend the right to offend.

Really rather odd. Kind of funny even. The Economist even has an article that has the Evangelical Alliance of Great Britain defending this. (Sorry, no link, you have to pay for the Economist.)

Seems that many Islamic groups are strongly pushing for the law. The Guardian quotes the Muslim Council of Britain as stating that the law is neccessary to prevent violence against muslims. [No link here either, because I think the Guardian is a rag of major magnitude.]
