Self-Defense Vetoed in NH

Too bad. NH almost had a Florida style self defense law (which, despite all the brouhaha still hasn't resulted in Dodge City, shock).

"It's a nightmare scenario," said Strafford County Attorney Janice Rundles

and
But Lynch and many police officers had visions of shootouts on the streets.

Still the same arguments, but with same utter dearth of facts to back them up. The conclusion is here:
Lynch said he seen no evidence that anyone had been unfairly prosecuted in New Hampshire for acting in self defense.

Yes, but you can veto something based on belief, not evidence. Ah well, maybe NH needs to shore up it's southern border because they're starting to sound an awful lot like the People's Republic of Massachusetts.

Hey, how do you think I feel. NH is my safety net, my nearby bolt hole. If things go south up there I'll have to move the whole famn damily to Okiehoma.

Ummmm... I don't want to live in Okiehoma. Love your family, hate the weather. Too damn hot and humid, with a shocking dearth of snow. Montana, maybe?
