Now, just to make sure we're not labeled "left of center" again for profanity, I'll point out that the title is missing the "n."
How is it that timber dams are allowed in the People's Republic of Massachusetts? You can't buy most handguns there, so why haven't they regulated things like 100 year old dams made of wood?

Ummm... using profanity makes one left of center? I don't understand.
You are allowed to own a timberdam in the the PRoM, but you have to take a course on dam maintenance and flooding first. Then you have to pay an exhorbitant fee for your license. And you have to store the dam and water in separate, locked areas.
Yoest.org stated in their blog "Chaos-in-Motion is confused about Honore's presentation. Chaos is left of center, I think."
Seeing that I was being sarcastic in the enty he thinks I'm confused, and since there is a minor amount of profanity that made us left of center.
I'm still trying to figure out why people have such an issue with sarcasm. I think I'll need to put big bold letters stating when I'm using sarcasm.
I think maybe sarcasm can get lost in the written word - it's hard to convey that verbal tone that clearly says "I mean the exact opposite of what I'm saying here." I have also met people who just have a hard time getting sarcasm. Either they are too literal or lack a certain type of neural snyapse, but sarcasm just sails right past them.
We who know you can hear your sarcasm loud and clear though.
