Nancy Pelosi: Jackass

I heard Pelosi's tirade on the news last night and went to find a quote, but RedState.org has an entry that pretty much fits what I was going to say. But maybe a little more politely.
The White House is taking issue with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's account of a conversation with President Bush yesterday. After a White House meeting, Pelosi said that the president is "oblivious" to and "in denial" about the problems following Hurricane Katrina. That became clear, Pelosi said, when she recounted how she urged Bush to fire FEMA chief Michael Brown.

"He said, 'Why would I do that?'" Pelosi, quoting the president, told reporters.

"I said because of all that went wrong, of all that didn't go right last week," Pelosi said. "And he said, 'What didn't go right?'"

Pelosi then said Bush's comments showed that the president was "oblivious, in denial, dangerous."

It's worse than even this sounds. She was pretty much spitting blood while saying this. Does this sound like a reasonable person? Would a person that heard Bush say the federal reaction to the disaster was unacceptable just a few days previously really think this, never mind run out in front of a load of reporters and start screaching?

And just to keep the "Evil Karl Rove" conspiracy alive, I wish to state here that he put the president up to saying what he did to Pelosi just to watch her go off like a rocket. That tirade did the Dems more damage than most of the wigging out about SCOTUS nominee Roberts.

She is the creepiest person in politics today. Her face is stretched like a drum-skin, her eye-brows arched to the heavens and those bug eyes goggling about as she hectors and screeches... [shudder] I'm so glad she's there though, because she's a constant reminder of what would happen to us if San Francisco were put in charge of the country. Sing it with me, "California, Uber Alles"
