"Abuses his power?" He hasn't even made a nomination and already this imbecile is railing against the president. How about wait for a nomination before making an ass of yourself?

Oh, it's going to be a horror show, no matter who he nominates. I think he'd have to nominate Pelosi, Teddy the Tick, or George Soros in order to avoid the "he's bringing down the Republic" retoric. It's frigging nuts.
A few points I've read that are interesting. This is the longest serving set of justices in history. There have not been nearly as many appointments as there were in the past, so this looms larger than it probably is. Renquist may still go too and if we have two to seat, it may actually act to water down the retoric (I'm not holding my breath on that one). Kennedy is 85 and not long for this world either, there's an off chance that Bush may get to appoint three judges. That'll really spin the MoveOn crowd to new ecstasies of outrage. It'll be fun to watch.
