Well, they're at it again. If you can't win the election by the votes, do what you can to discredit the methods. If they want to investigate voting in the country, maybe they should pick a method that isn't pretty much guaranteed to be squashed by the Republican majority.

Listening to them right now. 3rd time in history. First time for a blatant political reason. Last time was '69 when an elector was unfaithful. Before that was 1877, not sure of the reason. This is WAY messed up.
Still listening. Haven't heard anything new or interesting.
If you want a laugh, go over and read the comments on the DailyKos. Some people's grasp on reality seems to be getting more and more tenuous.
I've been watching both the senate and house debates on and off. Funny, It's very political. Everything from blaming Bush for not implementing HAVA quickly enough to statements that those certifying the vote were part of a republican election. No one pointing out those that were part of a democratic election though.
Then there is the continuous statements that this has nothing to do with Bush winning. That's not what they are saying though. Tom Harkin is even blowing the trumpet that the secretary of state of Ohio was part of the Bush election campaign. Then beating the dog with how Bush favored areas had more voting machines than those in Kerry supported areas. I'd like to see some real evidence and not this political hack crap.
Went to the DU site to see what they were saying...
I've mostly stopped laughing and can see well enough to type this. What put me on the floor you ask?
"We were watching F 911 again last night..."
There's almost no need to say anything else. It's even worse than saying "We were watching Starship Troopers again last night..." and who would have thought that was possible?
I'd love to see an overall factual set of findings on what went wrong and why. I'd like to see it at least be factual and stop the political carping.
Going to the left wing blogs is just scary. I haven't looked at any of the hard core rights either. I'm sure they probably have some gems there as well.
God, Sen. Dodd of CT is braying right now. Hasn't said anything yet though.
More from the DU
"It's going to get very ugly today, and the right wing echo chamber will be in full effect."
Praise the non-denominational-but-not-non-existant-if-it-offends-anyone-especially-non-christians-with brown-skin gods there isn't one of those for the left wing...
The politics is making me vomit. Especially the "voting doesn't work any more" rhetoric.
Interesting how well the House (which has a full-time five minute rule) does within the five minutes as opposed to the Senate (who usually get to bloviate until uranium decays).
The senator Voinovich (R) from ohio was being heckled from the gallery. Nice.
The Daily-Kos is scary. The trumpeting of Kucinich as a hero is even more frightening. Every time I see him I am just awe struck about how irrational he can be.
Now Trent Lott is making an ass of himself. He is calling for the vote to come in.
Wow. NO more debate. The vote is on the way.
There's the end of that. The president is now officially president for another term.
Ah, but did you hear Maxine Waters dedicate the debate to Michael Moore. Good thing I wasn't eating or drinking anything at the time.
Missed the dedication. But that gives us full context of her politics. I saw some of the other parts of her tirade, but I wasn't expecially surprised.
No blame being parsed out. Just responsible debate.
#end sarcasm
