The Baby Boomers were a greater generation than the Greatest Generation? Done laughing? Speaking as a history geek, the "Greatest Generation" did do some nice things. They also did some horrible things. However, they, as each generation does, recieved a world and built on to it. Same thing as the Boomers (of which, I'm unfortunately one). Remember Isaac Newton, "If I can see further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." So no one generation should be making grandiose claims of preference over the others. It's actually a pretty good article for being on Salon.
